Dear [your local MP’s name],

Menopause Clinic for Devon Campaign  #wheresmyclinic

Dear  (insert name of MP)

In recent months, we have a seen some long-overdue developments in the way that the menopause is represented.  It is being talked about in mainstream media, by celebrities and as a result, by far more women and men in all of our communities. And with the new Menopause Taskforce now established in Westminster, alongside Government commitments to reduce the cost of NHS HRT prescriptions for women in England, it feels like we are now starting to see a breakthrough for women who are experiencing symptoms.

Whilst this is welcome news for those who are suffering and their families, it is vital that they are also able to access the care they need from qualified and experienced medical professionals.

(optional add in personal experiences here)

As I am sure you aware, here in Devon, we do not have any NHS Menopause Clinics which means women living in this part of the country are disadvantaged when it comes to provision of support and services. To raise awareness of this, and to suggest solutions, a campaign has been launched entitled Menopause Clinic for Devon Campaign, MCDC.

I am calling on you, as my Member of Parliament, to join the campaign to raise awareness of the need for a clinic in Devon

I would like to invite you to join and support the campaign by visiting the Menopause Clinic for Devon Campaign website, www.menopauseclinicfordevon.co.uk and in your capacity as our MP write to the Devon CCG and Department for Health and Social Care, supporting our campaign.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Yours sincerely
